Fonte Introduces A New Menu

SEATTLE (May 24, 2010) - Fonté Café and Wine Bar, the flagship retail venue for Seattle’s premier micro coffee roaster, announces a diversified menu featuring cured meat from Italy, Spain and Salumeria Biellese in New York City, artisan pizzas made from scratch, house-baked ciabatta sandwiches, signature cocktails and more. The café has introduced a Garde Manger, an exposed kitchen located within the bar from which charcuterie, gourmet cheeses and antipasti are served.

Highlights from the menu include:

· Artisan pizzas made from scratch in the traditional Neapolitan style; guests may choose from Marinara ($9) or Margherita ($12), and then elect to add a variety of cured meats such as the Petit Jesu, offering a velvety rustic flavor or the Finnochiona, with fennel seed, fennel pollen and a delicate palate finish.
· House-baked ciabatta sandwiches such as the Leonardo with prosciutto, arugula, fresh mozzarella, basil and Monini extra virgin olive oil ($10); or the Esp
resso with Italian tuna, culatello, roasted pepper, arugula, taleggio and basil ($10).
· Fresh salads like the Fonté Chopped Salad with mixed greens, tomato, red onion, blue cheese and roasted turkey with bistro dressing ($12) and pasta, including the Pappardelle Bolognese with traditional veal, beef and pork simmered with tomato and red wine ($11).

· Artisan meat and cheese plates feature gourmet selections from around the world; flights of meat provide the opportunity to sample and compare such as the “Flight of Prosciuttos,” which offers bites of Proscuitto Di Parma (Parma, Italy), Serrano Ham (Spain) and Prosciutto San Danielle (Province of Udine, Italy).
· Signature Fonté cocktails are now available, such as the Fonté 75, a modern take on the classic French 75 with gin, lemon, orange bitters and sparkling wine ($8) and the Café Megara, a sweet treat featuring metaxa, amaretto, orange zest, Fonté coffee and topped with fig-honey whipped cream ($8). Each menu item is made with fresh, all-natural ingredients that are organic and locally sourced when possible. Popular standbys like the all-day breakfast offerings and daily dessert and bakery offerings remain. The Café is open Tuesday through Saturday, 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday and Monday, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fonté’s Happy Hour is served Monday through Friday, 5:00 to 6:30 p.m.

Fonté Café and Wine Bar is located at 1321 First Avenue in the Four Seasons Hotel Seattle, across from the Seattle Art Museum and just steps from Pike Place Market. For more information, call 206-777-6193 or visit fontecoffee.com
